Transfers

Chicago's OHare International Airport is 17 miles north-west of downtown Chicago. It is connected to the centre by 24-hour Chicago Transit Authority trains which take about 40 minutes and cost around $1.50.

Taxis from the airport into town cost around $30-35 and take anything from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic.

There is also an express bus and van service between the airport and downtown hotels.

Getting around

There are regular buses throughout the day and night, the El system of elevated trains runs 24 hours and the free trolley service is a great way to travel between downtown and Navy Pier.

Chicago's taxis are quite reasonably priced and can usually be hailed at any time.
