Philadelphia International Airport is located eight miles from the downtown area (known as Center City). The SEPTA R-1 regional rail line connects the airport with Center City and runs every half hour from 5.25am-11.25pm every day (a one-way fare is approximately $6). Alternatively, a taxi between the airport and Center City costs around $25-30$ one way and takes about 15-30 minutes.

Getting around
There's no better way to experience Philadelphia than to walk through it's streets. The city's transit system is extensive and perfect for trips further afield, with a vast network of bus, subway, train and trolley services - The Phlash Downtown Tourist Loop stops at the citys major tourist districts. SEPTA offers a great value-for-money day pass, available at the Independence Visitor Center for just $5.50, offering unlimited transportation on all City Transit vehicles and a one-way trip on the Airport Line.
