Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort & Spa from £1109pp
Encircled by coral reef, the Turks and Caicos islands offer some of the world’s best tropical beaches.
Making the most of Turks & Caicos

The ‘Turks Islanders’, as they are known, have a very laid-back attitude which helps to create the perfect relaxed environment for your holiday. Set in the Atlantic Ocean, the islands provide shelter for resident and migratory birds including flamingos, ospreys and pelicans. The islands are also renowned for their varied marine life which can be enjoyed by sailors and snorkellers as well as scuba-divers – in fact, the islands are one of the world’s best diving destinations.

Close to the shore you can catch a glimpse of loggerhead turtles and manta rays and if you are travelling from late December through April, look out for humpback whales – the entire Atlantic pod pass
through the waters on its annual migration.

Must sees

Provo is the most developed island and is home to the Bamboo Art Gallery and Sea Centre. Grace Bay, has
stunning white sands and azure waters and is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Provo is also home to an
18-hole championship golf course where, every October, an amateur open golf championship is held.

Must buys

Since the islands are relatively undeveloped, there are only a few shops. You can buy original art from the Bamboo
Gallery and other crafts include hand-made straw hats and baskets.
Must tries

There is a good selection of restaurants ranging from small cafes, where locally caught fresh conch is a favourite
dish, to more expensive restaurants serving imported food from Miami. Seafood served with rice and peas is a
standard island dish.

Prices start from £1815 per person for a 7 night ultra all-inclusive holiday
