different and unique species, making it one of the most popular and
diverse places to visit in Queensland. Trek under the emerald
canopies, follow the Dubuji Rainforest Boardwalk or try one of the
extreme sports organised in the area.
A Mecca for divers and snorkellers, the Great Barrier Reef is a
spectrum of colour and aquatic wildlife with 2900 coral reefs, 600
continental islands, stretching some 2300 kilometres.
The charming village atmosphere of Port Douglas is another great
base for exploring the wonders of the Reef, the Daintree and Cape
Tribulation. The golden sands of Four Mile Beach are a wonderful
place to relax, while the golf course, marina and selection of
boutiques will keep you entertained. If that isn't enough why not
get a different perspective on nature? Head inland by fourwheel
drive or, for a wider view, go up in a hot air balloon.
