Galle

Set on a dramatic rugged coastline of deserted beaches, Galle is naturally stunning and is a photographers delight. Situated approximately four and a half hours from the airport, this is an area of very quiet coastal communities, where you can watch traditional stilt fisherman and enjoy amazing coastal views. Whale watching can even be done in the winter season and it is said to be one of the best places to view blue whale, sperm whale and dolphins from an open boat. Galle town is well worth a visit for its markets and sightseeing, with the old fort in the city attaining UNESCO World Heritage status. Scenic beauty and escapism make this part of the coast great for a beachfront wedding and well worth the long transfer.
