  • Overview

The alternative Seven Wonders of the World combine with grace and style to form the United Arab Emirates, seven precious gems in the sparkling crown of the Middle East. Set in immense deserts, lush landscapes, sumptuous oases and stunning mountains, the United Arab Emirates is prosperous, progressive and perfect for your dream holiday. Each emirate offers its own charm and allure and will leave you completely spoilt for choice while guaranteeing a wealth of experiences second to none.

The United Arab Emirates is made of seven emirates; Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras al-Khaimah, Sharjah and Umm al-Quwain. Possibly the best known is the dynamic and sophisticated Dubai. A stay here is guaranteed to swathe you in luxury. Dubai is a paradise for shoppers due to its big-name designer boutiques but has still retained its rich culture, especially apparent in areas where time has all but stood still, like the Bastakiya district. Famed for its opulent hotels and stylish ways of life, it is a must-see for Emirates visitors.

The largest of the Emirates is Abu-Dhabi, which is home to the nation's capital city of the same name. Abu-Dhabi is a city striding forward and as you will come to expect of the United Arab Emirates, progress is blended perfectly with the past. Its relaxed atmosphere is a great contrast to the buzz of Dubai. Here you will find all the facilities for a first-class holiday; unspoiled beaches, diverse landscape and a welcoming population.

Fujairah's landscape is diverse, boasting mountains, beaches and glimpses of times gone by. Watersports fans will welcome the sapphire waters which house a diverse marine life just waiting to be enjoyed. The near by desert holds unforgettable adventures for those taking four-wheel drive treks, while Fujairah is home to much more natural beauty, including picturesque waterfalls, springs and lush trees and flowers.

Ras al-Khaimah too is a haven for visitors bestowed with some of the finest landscapes the United Arab Emirates has to offer. Ajman, the smallest of the emirates emits a sleepy charm, with seemingly endless pale sands perfect for relaxation and fishing from traditional dhows in the creek lending a timeless ambience. Ajman City's restored fort and museum provides greater insight into the fascinating ancient history and culture of this destination.
