The provinces of New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, collectively make up the region known as Atlantic Canada.
The rugged coastline and diverse landscapes make this area one of the most striking in the world. Tiny fishing villages hug the rocky shores which are home to an abundance of wildlife, while the soaring mountains add to the scenic spectacle. The locals here are proud of their heritage and with a strong community spirit, ancient traditions thrive and grow creating a welcoming atmosphere of discovery and adventure.

What to see and do
Nova Scotia, home to towering cliffs, vast stretches of coastline and the famous lighthouse of
Peggy’s Cove. The bustling capital city of Halifax is a food lover’s paradise. With over 350
restaurants and bars there is plenty to tickle the taste buds. To the west lies New Brunswick,
the largest of the maritime provinces. With its mighty white sand dunes and historic covered
bridges it is a unique blend of cultures. In between Nova Scotia and New Brunswick lies the Bay
of Fundy, famous for the highest tides in the world upon which adventurers can take to the
white water and experience the thrill of being tossed by the battling waves. Prince Edward
Island is the smallest of Canada’s provinces, connected to the mainland of New Brunswick by the
Confederation Bridge. It is renowned for its rolling green hills and sandy beaches and makes
for a relaxing, therapeutic holiday spot. Newfoundland and Labrador is the youngest province in
Canada offering an overwhelming scenic display made up of unspoilt wilderness including Gros
Morne National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to a plethora of different wildlife and
trails to explore.

Coastlines of Atlantic Canada - 12 day self-drive from £1051 per person
Spend your first 2 nights in Halifax where you will pick up your car and stay in the 4◊ Delta
Halifax Hotel. Spend time visiting the historic sights of this friendly city. Moving along the
western shore, follow the lighthouse route, maybe stopping along the way at Peggy's Cove.
Overnight at the 3◊ Comfort Inn. On Day 4 take the scenic cross-country drive en-route to 4◊
Digby Pines. Explore this charming fishing village, harbour and panoramic views of the
Annapolis Basin. On Day 6 you will take a ferry ride to Saint John. Follow the coastline to
Fredericton the capital of New Brunswick and the 3◊+ Delta Fredericton. During your journey on
day 7, discover the glorious scenery of Fundy National Park and the highest tides in the world
at Hopewell Rocks. Overnight at the 3◊+ Delta Beausejour. Cross to Prince Edward Island the
following day by the magnificent Confederation Bridge and arrive in the charming city of
Charlottetown and 4◊ Delta Prince Edward. Spend the next day exploring Charlottetown and on Day
10 drive on to board the ferry across the Northumberland Strait to Nove Scotia. Drive to
Baddeck and the 3◊ Inverary Resort. Take a scenic drive through the highlands of Cape Breton
National Park along the Cabot Trail before ending your drive back in Halifax for a final night
at the 4◊ Delta Halifax before your flight home.


Nova Scotia & Newfoundland Explorer - 14 day self-drive from £1213 per
person
Begin your adventure in the city of Halifax for two nights at the 4◊ Delta Halifax. Drive east
into Cape Breton Island for two nights at the 3◊ Inverary Resort. Spend time driving along the
scenic Cabot Trail, meandering through the Cape Breton Highlands National Park before returning
back to your hotel. From here take the ferry crossing between North Sydney and Channel-Port aux
Basques in Newfoundland. Keep your eyes peeled and you may see whales and dolphins if you are
lucky. Overnight at the 3◊ Glynmill Inn. On day 6 explore Gros Morne National Park, a
UNESCO World Heritage Site, and travel the Iceberg Alley to see excellent views of the
surrounding icebergs. Overnight at the 2◊ Anchor Inn. On day 7 discover Twilingate, one of
Newfoundland's most picturesque fishing villages before driving on to Gander - a town
steeped in aviation history, and spend the night in the 3◊ Sinbads Hotel. Next morning, pass
through the Terra Nova National Park, where you can observe minke, pilot and humpback whales.
Keep watch. There's moose, black bears and foxes in the area. Overnight at the 2◊ St. Jude
Hotel. Move on to St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador's provincial capital for two nights and
enjoy the sights and sounds of one of the oldest cities in North America staying at the 4◊
Delta St. John's Hotel. On day 11 cross the Avalon Peninsula and take the overnight ferry from
Argentia. A cabin is included on the crossing, and the following morning travel onwards towards
East Bay and Cape Breton Island, the body of land surrounding Bras dor Lake. Overnight at the
3◊+ Dundee Resort. On day 13, on to Antigonish, home to the breathtaking Northumberland Strait.
Spend the last night at the 2◊ Coastal Inn Antigonish before heading back to Halifax for your
flight home.


Atlantic Canada to Québec - 14 day self-drive from £1021 per person
