Mauritius
The most sophisticated island in the Indian Ocean, Mauritius is a varied landscape of jagged volcanic peaks, tumbling waterfalls, lush sugar plantations and heavenly beaches. Experience the superb quality of its hotels, the mouth-watering French Creole cuisine, and the world-class attentive service. Mauritius is without question one of our most desirable destinations.
How to get there
National flag carrier, Air Mauritius use the new Airbus A340-300E aircraft with a welcoming
tropically inspired interior and touch screen LCD on-demand entertainment in every seat.

What to see
The sheltered harbour of Port Louis, the island's capital, has for centuries been a melting pot
of cultures and the hub of activity in Mauritius. Take in the National Handicraft Centre for
souvenirs or visit the National History Museum for a glimpse into the life and demise of the
Dodo.
North of Port Louis, Grand Baie is a lively village bursting with shops, cafes and eateries and it's where many of the off-shore tours depart from. As the sun sets, this is the place to wine and dine, with some excellent restaurants, relaxed bars and discos.

What to do
Watersports are particularly popular in Mauritius and the varied coastline allows for
activities from snorkelling, diving, kite surfing and sailing to even big game fishing; all are
widely available and really excellent.
Nowhere else in the Indian Ocean caters for golf enthusiasts like Mauritius. With challenging world-class courses available on both coasts, Mauritius has established itself as a world-class golf destination.
For those that like to escape to a spa on holiday, Mauritius will not disappoint. All of our hotels offer a range of massages and treatments.

What to eat and drink
With the island's culture being a fusion of French, Chinese, Indian and Creole influences, the
dining experience will certainly delight. Seafood is fresh and varied and can be simply
straight off the beach barbecue, or beautifully ornate and designed by internationally renowned
chefs.
